This is a standard glass replacement window made of 3/8" thick, tempered, low-iron, high-clarity glass for the Vacuum Cube Viewing Window AssembIy. Use it to replace a scratched, hazed or discolored glass window. It replaces the standard glass viewing window pane used on our 6x6x6 or 6x6x12 Cubes. While field window replacement is possible, we prefer the replacement window be installed and tested at our facility to ensure proper assembly and safety. Included with your window replacement purchase, we offer a window replacement service at no charge. When you purchase the new replacement window, just let us know (by phone or email) that you'd like us to replace and test the window for you. We will provide an RMA and return shipping label for you to send us your old viewing window plate assembly. Once we receive the plate assembly, we will disassemble, clean, replace O-rings and any other parts that are not within tolerance, reassemble with the new replacement window pane, helium leak test and ship the completed updated assembly back to you along with your old window. If you have an older viewing window plate assembly (does not have a bare aluminum window frame), we will upgrade the entire assembly to our latest version when replacing the window. The latest version includes thicker glass and is more leak resistant. Old plate assemblies will not be returned. We offer other window assemblies and replacement panes with fused quartz (Heraeus TSC-3) or fused silica (Corning HPFS 7980) material. These fused materials are often selected for experiments where improved optical clarity and extended wavelength transmissivity is required beyond the visible range. Fused quartz and fused silica are better choices when working in the Near Ultraviolet and Near Infrared wavelengths.
