This Vacuum Cube 6x6 inch vacuum chamber viewing window plate assembly has a fused silica, Corning HPFS 7980 window and is designed to fit our 6x6x6 or 6x6x12 modular Cube chambers. This fused silica window viewing plate assembly is preferred for experiments where maximum optical clarity and transmissivity is required from Near Ultraviolet (NUV) to Near Infrared (NIR). Note: The 6x6 Corning HPFS 7980 viewing window assembly is a non-stocked, special order item only and has an extended lead time. Please call for current lead time. We also offer window assemblies and replacement panes with standard low-iron glass or fused quartz (Heraeus TSC-3) material. The standard glass window viewing plate assembly is a popular low cost Cube option which is commonly used for viewing processes in high-vacuum settings and can be used to facilitate optical alignments of chamber components, observe degassing of fluids, or used to help teach in-vacuo processes by direct observation. The Heraeus TSC-3 fused silica window has excellent optical and transmissivity characteristics in the Near Ultraviolet (NUV), visible, and Near Infrared ranges at a moderate cost.
